The Spectrex system is an automatic fire/fuel explosion detection and suppression system, specifically designed for combat vehicles, providing increased survivability against fires initiated by IED's and penetrating munitions.

In the engine compartment, the system detects and extinguishes all types of fire. Detection is based on heat wire detectors and extinguishing is based on HFC227.
