SIL approvals for 40/40 SharpEye line of products

Spectrex’s flame detector models, 40/40R, I,M,UB,LB,L4B, have successfully passed the TUV extensive tests based on the requirement for SIL2 of IEC 61508 standard. These tests included concept analysis, estimation of the safety-relevant parameters (PFD/PFH, SFF), inspection of coding standards, static software analysis by using "Code Checker", theoretical hardware analysis, verification of the implemented measures for fault detection and control by fault injection and functional tests, "Walk-through" of the source-code of both controllers.
